Luxurious brand VS Normal brand
Some interesting questions & facts about MARKETING (again) !!
Okay, topic today will be on : BRAND. Why some of us prefer (or dream of buying) TOPSHOP, FOREVER21, ZARA, ESPIRT, DOROTHY PERKINS, PULL&BEAR items.............?? RATHER THAN HANGTEN, BALENO, BOSSINI, OR OTHER NORMAL SHOPS ? It's because of the brand that's labelled on it? Because of the quality? OR because they are more pricey, so we stereotyped? Bet it's because of BRAND!! Personally ME TOO, a brand-conscious person , but not towards clothes. Never a fan of wearing hangten/baleno/bossini clothes either.... Marketers are so smart that they can psycho through a person's mind and ensure that they think that their products have the good quality thus the steep price. Because of the models they used to advertise? Because of the shop's layout and decorations ? because of the clothes designed? or the mannequins? True enough that their quality of the materials are (ABIT) better than those normal brands.. But the price for each are tagged way too high. IMAGINE : ONE DRESS FOR $100, compared to those in bugis street...$20? 5 TIMES MORE FOR A DRESS, WHICH TO CHOOSE? (Depending on the design) But would choose bugis street ones, because we girls normally wear once or twice and never-touch the dress again!!!!!! SO WHY WASTE UR HUNDRED BUCKS ON A ''once-and-never-touch" DRESS? unless you are madly-deeply in love with it? rich enough to afford one? or for prom ? But aren't those clothes all manufactured from china, india or thailand??? They are just reaping the profits like siao and earn like 10X the amount they paid to manufacture... Imagine you buying a present for someone....... YOU BOUGHT TOPSHOP'S DRESS FOR someone. While another person bought A DRESS FROM BUGIS STREET for the same person. YOU WILL START THINKING : " eee that person so budget! " OR ................. You walking into ION compared to walking into A MALL FILLED WITH NORMAL BRAND SHOPS.. You will start letting ur imagination go wild & think : "If only I am rich , I wont be shopping in this normal mall..." CORRECT?!!! Maybe now you have already thrown the idea of HANGTEN/BALENO... And start thinking to fill ur wardrobe with clothes from TOPSHOP, ZARA... (I would love it too!!!) Probably we(youngsters) have the mindset that hangten / baleno is for aunty, uncles or small kids or for casual.... while luxurious brands gives us the satisfaction that we could afford and go : waa feel so good wearing it! BUT U WILL FEEL SOMEWHERE HURT.......U'RE BITING YOUR OWN HEART. Becuz of the price for one piece on ur body!!! WELL, ITS ALL ABOUT B-R-A-N-D!!!
